Running of alpha_s without pdfs

Asked by Maikel de Vries

Hi,

I'd like to run a process like g g > X X, where X is some colored particle and cross check the MadGraph result with the analytic result. For that I disabled the pdf's, but there is still some running of alpha_s going on I presume.

Is there a way to find out which value of alpha_s has been used by MadGraph?

Best, Maikel

Hi,

If you do not run in fix scale no. (because the value change for each PS point)

If you do run in fix scale. then you can read the log file of the computation of one of the given channel:
the path should be something like:
SubProcesses/P??????/G??/run_01_log.txt

Cheers,

Olivier
