same particles with different decay channels using MadSpin

Asked by Hao Zhang

Hi,

I want to decay same particles with different decay channel via MadSpin. For example, if I generate p p > h h h process through MagGraph and want to get bbWW*aa final states using MadSpin, how to do it? It seems that the MadSpin will decay the same particles automatically with the first decay mode I type in... Thank you very much!
Best,

Hao

Hi,

You forget to put what you type

The syntax is that if you specify N decay for N identical particles, then different decay will be applied on each particle.

so for example you can do (with “set spinmode none” option)
decay h > b b~
decay h > g g [QCD]
decay h > e+ ve mu- vm~

of course you need a model which handle QED loop for the above syntax.
The decay to photon is a bit more complicated, since you need to switch model.

Cheers,

Olivier
