How can we generate a scattering process W_L W_L > W_L W_L in madgraph?

Asked by Avirup Shaw

I want to know the exact procedure of W_L W_L > W_L W_L scattering process, where (L ) represents longitudinal polarization.

Olivier Mattelaer suggests this article as an answer to your question:
FAQ #2243: “How to generate polarized particles.”.

Hi Olivier,

i have similar question and don't want to create a new thread, i have a look on https://answers.launchpad.net/mg5amcnlo/+faq/2243, it's really useful that v2.7.0 could directly handle the polarization feature. I have a question on the previous version, you mentioned that:
'rewrite this part to the set of helicities of interest so in this case takes only the longitudinal helicities (0)
      DATA (NHEL(I, 1),I=1,4) /-1,-1, 0, 0/
      DATA (NHEL(I, 2),I=1,4) /-1, 1, 0, 0/
      DATA (NHEL(I, 3),I=1,4) / 1,-1, 0, 0/
      DATA (NHEL(I, 4),I=1,4) / 1, 1, 0, 0/
      DATA IDEN/36/
'
do you mean replace all the initial 37 lines to these 5 lines?

Cheers,

Meng
