Missing diagram u u > W+ Z u d > W+ u d?

Asked by Melissa

Dear reader,

It seems to me that the diagram I am trying to create ( u u > W+ Z u d > W+ u d, or similar ones) does not exist. What am I doing wrong?

Cheers,
Melissa

Hi Melissa,

Well you enter a wrong syntax and this is so wrong that i have no idea of the kind of diagram that you want to generate and therefore
I can not help you.
My only suggestion is to read the following link:
https://cp3.irmp.ucl.ac.be/projects/madgraph/attachment/wiki/MGTalks/13_06_10_tutomg_tasi.pdf

Cheers,

Olivier

Hi Olivier,

I've read through some tutorials, but I am having trouble with finding the right syntax. What I want is a proton proton collision, where constituents annihilate to two jet forming particles and W+ and Z, and then I want W+ and Z to annihilate to W+. W+ can do whatever it wants after that. Thanks for any help!

Cheers,
Melissa

Hi,

For gauge invariance point of view, this is impossible to have only that diagram.
The best is to use the following syntax:

generate u u > W+ u d QCD=0

Cheers,

Olivier
