Generating polarized particles

Asked by coolpankaj007

Hi,

I went through this FAQ: https://answers.launchpad.net/mg5amcnlo/+faq/2243 which tells about generating events for polarized particles. My question is following:

I want to generate p p > t_L W- and then t_L decays further leptonically. I could generate up to (p p > t_L W-) by modifying the matrix1.f file in the subprocess folder. How do I further decay this polarized top using Madgraph?

Thanks
Pankaj

Dear Pankaj,

We do not provide package for such crude approximation of the decay.
In old version of MG (1.5.x) when we did not have a precise way to handle the decay (like we have now with MadSpin)
We had a package which handle that kind of decay, but we do not support it anymore.

Cheers,

Olivier
