madgraph installs old version of Delphes3

Asked by cshimmin

Is there a reason why MadGraph5 installs an outdated version of Delphes? It fetches the tarball from http://cp3.irmp.ucl.ac.be/downloads/Delphes-3-current.tar.gz, which contains version 3.1.2. However, according to the Delphes release page: https://cp3.irmp.ucl.ac.be/projects/delphes/wiki/Releases, v.3.2.0 has been available since December.

Hi,

The Delphes author are directly responsible of that repository. So this is their choice to not update him.
I’have point him the situation to them.

Cheers

Olivier

In the latest Delphes version, the location of the configuration files changed and the MadGraph scripts should be slightly modified to look for the Delphes configuration files at the new location.

So, we are waiting for the green light from the MadGraph developers before pointing the Delphes-3-current download link to the latest version.

Can you help with this problem?
