PGS lhe output

Asked by Brady

I would like to keep the mother ID's after running PGS for leptons in p p > Z Z, Z > l+ l-, Z > l+ l-

Generating events with MadGraph with Pythia and PGS turned on gives me an lhco file which has thrown this information out.

How can I make MadGraph with PGS give me a file which shows which Z each lepton came from as Pythia or MadGraph by itself does?

I can't find the PGS file which I would modify to do this.

The lhco format is not able to have such information.

I understand that the lhco doesn't have it, but it could be modified to have it if I knew the file which writes the output.

Hi,

you should then ask the PGS author for that, my guess is that it should be that file:
pythia-pgs/libraries/PGS4/src/pgslib.f
