Should we worry about the "STOP 1" message during LHE production?

Asked by Shin-Shan Eiko Yu

 Dear Madgraph authors,

We have been generating LHE events with customized models (Heavy Vector Triplet Model).
For most of the channels, the model seems to work fine. However, for some channels, like [1],
we see "STOP 1" messages both during the gridpack production [2] and interactive running [3].

Should we be alarmed by these messages?
The model files we use is here [4].

Thanks!!

Hi yes,

You certainly should worry about that,

Can you look at the html output and click on the channel returning 0 cross-section. This should shows the individual log of the code
This should indicate why the jobs fails.

If they are nothing in that file, please go to the associate directory and run ../madevent < input_app.txt
This should give you the missing information.

Cheers,

Olivier

Independently, I would suggest to read that thread:

to optimise your computation.
