Syscalc use

Asked by Goutam Das

Dear Team,
                      I have a question on Syscalc.
I am generating tri-photon merged with 1 jet in SM.
While Syscalc was not running my choice of qcut=xqcut= 90 .
Now when I am running I am using the following:
xqcut = 80 = qcut in run_card and pythia_card
and in run_card
with
T = use_syst
80 90 100 = sys_matchscale

In the pythia_syscalc.log file at the end :

nb of event for qcut :0 80 1000
nb of event for qcut :1 90 949
nb of event for qcut :2 100 816

I want to understand these 3 columns, particularly the 1st column. Now what is the best choice of qcut?
Can you please help me?

Best Regards,
Goutam

The three column are:

1) id of the qcut generation (i.e. no physical meaning)
2) Qcut value
3) nb event passing the QCUT value.

This can not be tell from those number. You need to do the DJR plot for each of them
to see if one is better than the other.

Cheers,

Olivier
