LHAPDF configuration for reweighting

Asked by John Doe

Hi MG5 developers, I have trouble running a systematic study of PDF and scale uncertainties. For a normal run (use_syst = F) I set in the run_card pdlabel = lhapdf and lhaid =11000 (CT10nlo), and get a correct result (for, say pp > tt~). So I guess my LHAPDF installation is correct and correctly configured in MG5.

When I set use_syst=T, with sys_pdf= CT10nlo, madevent runs fine but syscalc aborts with the error message
>Init PDF set ct10nlo
>File /usr/share/lhapdf/PDFsets/ct10nlo cannot be opened !
even though I set lhapdf = /usr/local/bin/lhapdf-config in me5_configuration.txt, and lhapdf-config --datadir yields
"/usr/local/share/LHAPDF".
I made a symbolic link in /usr/share pointing to /usr/local/share/LHAPDF, accessible to a normal user, but without result. Furthermore, ct10nlo is not file but rather CT10nlo is a directory.

So I would like to ask how to make syscalc find the directory CT10nlo where the PDF data is stored.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I'm using MG5 v 2.2.2, and LHAPDF version 6.1.5.

Hi,

SysCalc module is actually not compatible with lhapdf6.

Cheers,

Olivier
