MadGraph5_aMC@NLO

pythia8 output for pgs

I need to run pythia 8 after madgraph and then feed the pythia output to pgs, but pgs only takes stdhep input and pythia 8 doesn't seem to have a translator to stdhep. I understand that this is not really a madgraph question, but any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Hi Nikolay,
unfortunately I'm not an expert in these output formats, even if I think some converter HepMC --> stdHEP should exist.
One of the Pythia8 authors, Stefan Prestel, very probably knows how to do it easily, so I attach here his address: <email address hidden>
