ggF plus 2 jets

Asked by Ralph Edezhath

Hello,
I am trying to generate gluon fusion higgs with two jets, and I tried:

generate p p > h j j [QCD] .

It gives the error below (I tried to change the "max_fail" paramerter in the symmetries_FKS_test_MC.f to 0.9 and error persists):

Error detected in "launch "
aMCatNLOError : Poles do not cancel, run cannot continue

Also I was wondering, will generating h j j [QCD] give the correct high P_T behavior for ggF+2 jets like in this paper 1110.1728 ? Or is there some other way to generate this in MadGraph?

Thanks!
Ralph

Hi Ralph,
if you type
generate p p > h j j [QCD]
you are basically generating VBF (and poles does not cancel because some negligible virtual diagrams are not included.
In order to generate QCD production of Hjj in the mt -> infinity effective theory at the NLO, you need to download the model
HC_NLO_X0_UFO.zip
at this page
http://feynrules.irmp.ucl.ac.be/wiki/HiggsCharacterisation
and follow the instructions in the README file for gluon fusion + jets

in any case, you will get the results in the heavy top limit (unlike 1110.1728 where the exact top mass dependence was included by reweighting).

Please let us know if you need more informations.

Cheers,

Marco

Thanks Marco. Is there any way to generate the reweighted events in MadGraph? I am interested in events with Higgs PT> M_top

Hi,
not an automated way...
you should reweigh them event by event ...

Cheers,
