Parton Level distributions - events without showering / hadronization

Asked by Kristin Lohwasser

Dear all,

for some studies, I would like to obtain parton level distributions and we are not quite sure how to proceed on this.

As I understand, one would have to match and shower events, setting ickkw=1 to one in order to get physical results. If one runs the shower using pythia, but switching of hadronization, this should yield the correct (physical) distributions.

Is this correct?

Thanks for the clarification.

Best
Kristin
