ggH production in NMSSM

Asked by nadjieh jafari

Dear experts,

I am trying to produce a Higgs particel via gg fusion and let it decay to a pair of a01 in the framework of NMSSM (with some changes). I understand that one needs to start by implementing the Lagrangian in FR but I have seen the other solution given in [1].
I have got the code via
    bzr branch lp:~maddevelopers/mg5amcnlo/plugin_model

Then I have done

import model NMSSMHET --modelname
add model ggh_plugin --recreate --output=tmp

which leads to this problem:
Command "add model ggh_plugin --recreate --output=tmp" interrupted with error:
InvalidCmd : "add" requires the argument "process"

I am very new to MG and I guess I am doing sth substantially wrong.

Would you please help me understand what I am missing?

Many thanks in advance,
Nadjieh

Hi Nadijeh,

Actually this branch is not develop anymore since it is now part of the official release 2.1.1.
Could you try with that version?
Like that I don’t see any error on your side (my only potential guess is that you don’t use the correct version of the code.)
If it still don’t work, I will take a deeper look at the problem.

Cheers,

Olivier

Hi Olivier,

I will try with MG 2.1.1 and I will let you know.

But in principal, in MG5, what is the way to do this? Should we start each time from FR or is there any other way around?

Naively I guess since this is very common to have Higgs produced or decayed via fermion loops in the context of exotic models, maybe it is better to have a reliable way to just port the HiggsEffective models into exotic ones in MG.

Thanks,
Nadjieh

I would always recommend to do it at the FR level, since then everything is done in a 100% clean way.

That’s the reason why I have implemented this “add model" functionality.

Olivier
