dual receiver, adapter1 has no "frontend"

Asked by PauG

Hello please excuse my lack of knowledge, I am very new to Linux.
I have a dual tuner usb, I can see in "dev" "dvb" adapter0 AND adapter1, however if lookinto those folders "frontend" is missing from adapter1.
also should the files in adapter1 read demux1, dvr1, frontend1, and net1?

When I start MeTV it only shows one device, adapter0

Has something gone wrong somewhere?

Paul

Hi Paul,

If frontend is missing from adapter1 then there's an issue with your device/driver. I can't really help with that, I don't have that knowledge. Try <email address hidden> or #linuxtv on Freenode (IRC).

Simply, no :)

Thanks,

Michael

Thanks Michael
I had a feeling it was the drivers, but needed to check it wasn't an issue
with your ME TV (which by the way I am able to use with the one adapter that
shows).
I had never done the compile thing before.

Congrats on the program, I struggled to get MythTV to work properly and
yours does.
