Laptop won't shutdown after recording

Hi,

Whenever I set Me TV to shutdown my laptop after finishing a recording, it just ignores the command and remains on all night. I'm running Mint 14 Nadia.

Any suggestions as to how to fix this would be much appreciated please.

I think it has to du with bug #723115 (correct me if I am wrong please).

you could work around this by using cron, or some other scheduler. Here's some link I found on the mint forums:

I'm not sure if my issue is the same or not. On one occasion my computer shutdown as intended, but on subsequent attempts it wouldn't, and I haven't tried again, since resume after suspend doesn't appear to work either (that's a Mint problem, nothing to do with Me TV). I've never used Me TV to record programmes that repeat periodically if that helps.

Anyway, cronjob sounds like a good, simple solution, thanks for your help.
