Audio, then video hang - sporadic

Asked by ben barker

Hi,

I've meen using me-tv for a while. Recently I have noticed that, on a machien with a dual tuner, the audio will ocasionaly drop out, followed soon after by the video hanging and the program hanging.

The verbose logs show:

04/03/11 19:40:19: Writing PAT/PMT header
04/03/11 19:40:22: Writing PAT/PMT header
04/03/11 19:40:25: Writing PAT/PMT header
04/03/11 19:40:26: Exception: Failed to read data from demuxer: Value too large for defined data type
04/03/11 19:40:26: Exception in EPG thread loop: Failed to read data from demuxer: Value too large for defined data type
04/03/11 19:40:28: Writing PAT/PMT header
04/03/11 19:40:31: Writing PAT/PMT header

With the problem occurring at the exceptions shown above. I'm not certain this is a bug with me-tv - it could be something to do with my system perhaps - but wondered if you had any thoughts?

Cheers,

Ben

Check it on another DVB application to confirm if it's Me TV specific.

I will try that. I also tried building the v2.0 beta, since it sounded
interesting and it isn't the end of the world if it isn't stable.
There seem to be some files missing from the "common" directory:

me-tv-types.h
and
il8n.h

Will try your first suggestion when I have a chance :-)

Looks like it wasn't a me-tv bug - I loaded up a channel in me-tv, and the
same channel in the other tuner in mplayer

Both hung at exactly the same point

Yes, the beta is busted, I'm trying to get time to fix it. I think that the original question is answered as far as Me TV is concerned.
