Ape/cue files..one big file

Hi:)

Im using Max 0.8.1 every ape file and cue file only give me one big file. I looked on the forums, and from what I was able to understandn, I should just open the cue file?

Which I did and it gets the title and Artist but NO tracks are listed.

How do I get this one huge file to break down to its separate pieces?

I also tried changing this line:

FILE "Sciarrino - Damerini - Piano Works.wav" WAVE

to
FILE "Sciarrino - Damerini - Piano Works.ape" APE, as it IS an .ape file..still doesnt work

You are correct- to split tracks from a cue you should be able to File -> Open the .cue

A few questions to clarify things-

Does the file "Sciarrino - Damerini - Piano Works.wav" exist in the same directory/folder as the cue file?

Are any error messages displayed? Since you are getting the title and artist it seems the cue sheet is parsed, but with no tracks displayed it seems likely that Max couldn't find the input file.

Yes.

Heres what I get opening the cue file.

No error messages--unless the red "Output Directory not specified" is
the problem?

..I havent gotten ONE cue sheet to work yet, though as I said, I do
get the title and artist

You might be having troubles with the related bug I linked to this question: #512716

I thought you might want to know because I prefer Max over the other alternatives.
