Xr and Xr particles in the DMsimps Spin 0 model

Asked by Mattia Di Mauro

Hi everyone,
I am practising with the DMsimp_s_spin0 model. I set the dm particle to be xd with:
define darkmatter xd
Then looking into the card param_card.dat I see that there are other two particles I do know: Xr, Xc, sdmm, sdmm and vdmm.
What are these particles? In the DMsimps_s_spin0 model I thought there was only the dark matter particle xd and the mediator Y0 and no additional particles.
Thanks for the consideration.

Hi,

We automatically add a couple of particle to any model imported to maddm.
This allows us to added the effective operator needed to handle direct detection.
This indeed adds some particle to the spectrum but those are not physically relevant.

Cheers,

Olivier
