turn off likelihood computation

Asked by Wolfgang Waltenberger

Hey guys, quick question. For the production of SModelS efficiency maps I am running ma5 1.9-beta (working well, kudos!). I only want signal efficiencies, not (combined) likelihoods. Can I turn off the computation of likelihoods and 95% CL limits?
Thanks in advance, cheers

Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang

You can simply type ```set main.recast.global_likelihoods = off``` to turn off the global likelihoods but we dont have a switch for regular CLs calculation. What you can do is you can setup an expert analysis and copy the PAD analyses that you want to run there and run it as expert mode analysis then you wont have to deal with all the python machinery built around the C++ code.

Cheers

Hey Jack,

gocha, thanks! I assume that the CLs is done individually per signal
region, so that's not expensive.
set main.recast.global_likelihoods = off I think is what I was looking for.
Again, thanks

Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang

Yes, they are not very expensive but in case you wanted to save some extra time, expert mode is always there. Let me know if you catch something suspicious!

Cheers
