MadAnalysis 5

Plot not generated

I am using a server to run madgraph and madanalysis5. After generate an event, I cannot see any plot in the MA5_parton_analysis file. However, my coworker can see plots on her laptop, which are generated on the same server. I wonder if this is an issue with the windows system, or I am missing something on the server.

Hi

Unfortunately I don't have access to a Windows machine to reproduce your problem but if python + matplotlib bundle is accessible through a global or local environment that you are running the ma5 from, it should be able to generate plots. Is there any error generated? log files? Could you try to run ma5 in debug mode and try to generate the plots that you want? This will tell you and us more about whats going on in the background.

Hi,

Thank you for helping! I downloaded Xming to generate the plot. Now I got all of them. I guess my confusion was that the plots generated by ma5 were not showing up; yet without Xming, I can see plots generated by mg5. I thought they should be similar though.
