Events less than One

Asked by Najimuddin Khan

Hi,
I am using default Madanalysis in Madgraph. I am plotting Events vs invariant mass and getting events less than One. I think it is normalisation effect.
Could you please suggest me where I should change this effect?

Dear Najimuddin,

I am afraid I don't understand what you want to do. You can modify the cross section by hand via the xseciton attribute of the dataset class. But the cross section returned by madgraph is the LO cross section related to your process, and it is what it is: if it is small, well it is small.

Cheers,

Benjamin

My cross section is ~10^-9 pb for some model. Please find the attached
file. I didn't understand what is the meaning of this plot.
Please help me to understand why events less than One. It should be zero or
greater than One. Is it normalise?

I cannot see the plot, but that just mean that for the considered luminosity, you have almost zero event.

Benjamin
