Accessing b properties in reconstructed LHE file

Asked by shibasipu

Hi Benjamin,
I have obtained reconstructed LHE file from .hep file by calling Fastjet as you have explained in some other thread. I have two questions.

1. Suppose I want to analyse those reconstructed LHE file. I have prepared a script. I am running that script via the following way.

>bin/ma5 script_name

is it ok ?

2. Now I want to access the b properties from the reconstructed LHE file,, say for example invariant mass. Should I use "M (b[1] b[2]" or "M(j[1] j[2])" ?

Regards,
Shiba

Hi Shiba,

1. Yes it works.
2. It depends if you are interested in b-tagged jets or in jets in general.

Benjamin

Hi Benjamin,
                           thanks a lot.

As I have mentioned, I want to access the properties of b-tagged jets from the reconstructed LHE files. I think, M(b[1] b[2]) is working fine. Is not it ?

Shiba
