FastJet in Reco level

Asked by Safinaz

Dear authors,

I try to run fast jet algorithm on ./bin/ma -R level as:

  set main.fastsim.package = fastjet

But it gives me an error:

ERROR: some datasets contain reconstructed file format. Fast-simulation cannot be switched on.

I imported lhco.gz files, so dose not the jet clustering work on this level ? in other words on this level should now all the partons already clustered by PGS simulator in MG where the lhco.gz file was generated ?

Thanks,
Safinaz

Hi Safinaz,

LHCO files are already reconstructed event files. There is therefire no need to perform an extra reconstruction (and you cannot do it within ma5).

Cheers,

Benjamin
