dETA cut in madanalysis

Asked by nabanita ganguly

Hi,

How does madanalysis calculate dETA() (namely the vectorial difference) and sdETA()(scalar difference) variables? To elaborate , when does a diffence in ETA will be called vector or scalar? Could you please enlighten?

Regards,
Nabanita

Hi Nabanita,

A vectorial difference means that the momentum are first subtracted and then the eta is calculted. For a scalar difference, both etas are first calculatd and then subtracted.

Cheers,

Benjamin
