ROOT has not been built with 'python' options

Asked by Raymond

I am trying to install madanalysis 5, and it says:
PyRoot libraries [FAILURE]
ERROR: ROOT has not been built with 'python' options

I read the manual and it's said that
"in order to install a version of Root including its Python library, the Linux package Python-devel has to be present on the system of the user and the Root configuration script must be run as
./configure --with-python"

I thought it might be relevant, but this does not help.
I am using ubuntu with root v5.34. I am a beginner in this area. So I hope I could get detailed answer. Thanks a lot.
