ppa upload, no email, or error output

Asked by hakaishi

Hi,

I have a qt4-project and I want to upload it. In the sourcetree I entered: "debuild -S -sa" and in the folder above: "dput ppa:hakaishi/qt-shutdown-p -f qt-shutdown-p_1.3-all-1_source.changes".

The file.changes is signed, the OpenPGP key uploaded and the Ubuntu Code of Conduct signed. The first Line of the changelog-file is "qt-shutdown-p (1.3-all-1) karmic; urgency=low". The qt-shutdown-p_1.3-all-1_source.ppa.upload lists:
Successfully uploaded qt-shutdown-p_1.3-all-1.dsc to ppa.launchpad.net for ppa.
Successfully uploaded qt-shutdown-p_1.3-all-1.tar.gz to ppa.launchpad.net for ppa.
Successfully uploaded qt-shutdown-p_1.3-all-1_source.changes to ppa.launchpad.net for ppa.

However, I don't get a rejection nor a accepted E-Mail after almost a day.

I'm thankful for any help

Oh wait, sorry for the last reply, I just checked your launchpad page, you
don't have the ppa files uploaded. Check out this page [1]

I just checked the control- and the changelog-file. The maintainer is correct, the email-address is correct.
The file.changes and file.dsc is correctly signed.
The last line in the qt-shutdown-p_1.3-all-1_source.build is:
"Successfully signed dsc and changes files".
And the OpenPGP key, that I uploaded should also be the same.

Sorry, I just don't get it...

Alright, so here's what is was, you would probably face-palm [1] : you haven't provided launchpad with a public email, in your launchpad profile. When login to your profile, go to change details and then enter a email where launchad can send you email :)

Okay... The email was just hidden, so I changed that and uploaded once more with the "-f" option, but I still don't get an email (after about 9 hours)...

Check once more, if your maintainer email is the same as the one mentioned on launchpad. If that doesn't work out buddy, then you want to talk to #launchpad, on IRC [1] . I apologize for not being able to help you out here, I tried but I am unable to find the cause of this problem.

Thank you Vikram. I already was at #launchpad, but the ones who could help weren't online (maybe 'cause it's sunday). Since I get the emals when one writes something here and the maintainer email is just the same, something must be going wrong... The maintainer name must not be the alias I used here (hakaishi), right? - just the email-address must be the same, isn't it?

I've just checked the logs, and the upload is causing an OOPS:

Now I'm trying to find that OOPS to get the details :/

Okay, the thing was that in the control-file there has to be an empty line before "Package:"
