No activity, neither email after successfully upload

Asked by Jhonny Oliveira

Hi!

I see no activity in the ppa Launchpad UI, neither receive an email after successfully uploading the source package.

Remark: I already attempted this a couple of times, including incrementing the version. It never worked.

$ dput ppa:jhonny-oliveira/xtradeb virt-manager_3.1.0-0ubuntu2_source.changes
Checking signature on .changes
gpg: /home/jd/WorkSpace/MyBuilds/Sources/GetDeb/virt-manager/virt-manager_3.1.0-0ubuntu2_source.changes: Valid signature from 2ABFB1447C8A4BF4

gpg: /home/jd/WorkSpace/MyBuilds/Sources/GetDeb/virt-manager/virt-manager_3.1.0-0ubuntu2.dsc: Valid signature from 2ABFB1447C8A4BF4
Package includes an .orig.tar.gz file although the debian revision suggests
that it might not be required. Multiple uploads of the .orig.tar.gz may be
rejected by the upload queue management software.
Uploading to ppa (via ftp to ppa.launchpad.net):

  Uploading virt-manager_3.1.0.orig.tar.gz: done.
  Uploading virt-manager_3.1.0-0ubuntu2.debian.tar.xz: done.
  Uploading virt-manager_3.1.0-0ubuntu2_source.buildinfo: done.
  Uploading virt-manager_3.1.0-0ubuntu2_source.changes: done.
Successfully uploaded packages.

You signed your upload with a GPG key (ID 2ABFB1447C8A4BF4) that isn't registered to your account in Launchpad. This means Launchpad couldn't verify that it was from you. You'll need to either sign your upload with the GPG key attached to your account (see https://launchpad.net/~jhonny-oliveira) or tell Launchpad about your other key (see https://help.launchpad.net/YourAccount/ImportingYourPGPKey).

Dear Colin,

The key you mention is a subkey of the one I have registered.
How do I go about it?

$ gpg --keyid-format long --list-keys

But it's true that when I look at https://keyserver.ubuntu.com/pks/lookup?fingerprint=on&op=get&search=0x2ABFB1447C8A4BF4 (or the equivalent keyserver.internal URL from our company VPN) it does seem to exist. Is it possible that you updated that subkey on keyserver.ubuntu.com recently?

Hi Colin,

Yes I did, because I did not know I had to update in the keyserver until I
saw your previous answer. Then I was unsure if anything actually changed.
Anyways, your answer clarifies it. I just re-uploaded and it was accepted.

Thank you!

Best regards,
Jhonny Oliveira

Ah, good, I don't have any kind of audit log access to the keyservers so it can be hard to tell if something's changed since the problem first appeared. Glad that sorted it out, and sorry for the confusion.

Thanks Colin Watson, that solved my question.
