Uploader in translator-credits after importing new translations

Asked by Mario Kemper (Romario)

I've uploaded new translation files to my project (Shutter) to sync them with Launchpad. I followed the advice by Henning Eggers as described here:
https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+question/60875

Today some of the files were importet and most things look fine. I have two templates:

shutter-plugins:
https://translations.launchpad.net/shutter/trunk/+pots/shutter-plugins

shutter:
https://translations.launchpad.net/shutter/trunk/+pots/shutter

In the shutter-plugins template everything looks perfect but in the shutter template i am now mentioned in all translator-credits and i am marked as the last editor for all languages. But I am only the uploader!?

Anything i did wrong here? Is there a way to fix that?

Thanks in advance and greetings
Mario

I've seen it happen before too. I guess it doesn't know who to use as the last translator and uses the uploader.

Well, ok this is not a major problem but shouldn't be at least filed a bug here?
I don't know if this is really a bug...maybe i did something wrong?

The reason is that the Last-Translator header looks like this (taken from ar.po):

Last-Translator: MaXeR <Unknown>

As <Unknown> can not be parsed into an email address, the importer is used as the translator.

BTW, you did follow my instructions very well except for the naming of the po files. From what I see in the queue, they were named "shutter/shutter-ar.po" etc. as opossed to "shutter/ar.po" which would have let them be processed automatically. Fortunately for you Jeroen, our stalwart queue reviewer, has already fixed all that and that's how they got imported.

The confusion here is, that our export function actually exports the files with the naming scheme you used. That is for other reasons and we will hopefully be able to fix that eventually.

Thanks for your quick response.
I've downloaded the latest translations and created a tar of them. I know you were talking about "shutter/ar.po" instead of "shutter/shutter-ar.po" but as I received them formatted like this I did not changed it.

So I'll rename them next time as you described.

Thanks.
