No good way to ask for translation

I am one of your Persian Translation Team members: https://launchpad.net/~arya766.
I need to see the words/phrases/sentences which are to be translated, in their context; the way you do it currently, will not result in an accurate translation, and the half-line explanation at the end of each "result" is less than insufficient. Thank you.

We can only provide as much information as the project maintainers give us. They have the ability to add additional descriptions to each translation, or a reference to the string's location in the source code.

Thank you for your answer. Is that possible for Launchpad to ask project maintainers for more detailed information!? I mean Launchpad can make them solve the problem. It's so obvious that there can be no accurate translation this way.

We have tens of thousands of projects, and most translators and projects don't have problems with the information provided today. It would be most efficient for affected translation teams to contact the relevant project owners directly -- Launchpad staff acting as a proxy would just increase the likelihood of misunderstandings.
