I can't ad myself to bug 1047891 a private bug I was send to by apport

Asked by Stinger

Recently when apport sends me to a bug I get this "This page does not exist, or you may not have permission to see it" because the reporter forgets to make the bug visible to the public.
This is a really annoying behavior, I don't get a chance to add myself to the bug or follow the development.

I would like to have public as default instead of private.

hi when that happens it means the original bug is a private bug and hasn't been made public for varvious reasons such as security or information in it.

Thanks for answering.
But how can I add myself to such a bug or how do I follow it ?
apport should give an option to make a new public bug instead I think.

You cannot add yourself. Apport should not be marking bugs duplicates of private bugs.
