Requesting a project group for Bardinux

Asked by Enrique Hernández Bello

Hello,

I wanted to create a project group but it's too late. I noticed that I must request it here before create a new project. I would like to group all packages of my Ubuntu derivative distribution in a project named 'bardinux' but this is already created.

Is there any way to fix my blunder? Thanks!

It is possible, but there is no need to do this before you create the project. In fact we don't normally create project groups unless there already at least two real projects for it. So you can just create your new project, and later we can set up a project group. Then you set the project group in the "Part of:" boxes of your projects' settings, and they become part of the project group.

Ok. I said this because a I readed this: https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+faq/210

So, I've already created two project that I need to group. These are: http://launchpad.net/bardinux and http://launchpad.net/usplash-theme-bardinux.

The name of project group could be simply 'bardinux'.

Thanks.

I created the bardinux-project project group and you are the maintainer of it. You should be able to make your other projects 'Part of' it.

Cheers

Sorry for the inconvenience, but could it be renamed to "bardinux? It would be more representative. There is no problem if the actual project named "bardinux" is removed in favor of the new superproject.

My intention is that this superproject "bardinux" represents the Ubuntu derivative distribution, and include some sub-projects like "bardinux-meta" for metapackages, "bardinux-live" for live ISO images, own packages as usplash-theme-bardinux and derivative software if necessary.

I only need to delete actual project named "bardinux" and rename "bardinux-project" to "bardinux". Don't worry about descriptions of this superproject, I'll fill it later, of course.

I promise I will not bother you again 0:-)

Thanks!

I've renamed "bardinux-project" to "bardinux". In doing so, I deactivated what was previously "bardinux" and renamed it to "bardinux-inactive".

Thanks, Tom
