1. Timeline
It is about visualization of posts. Nothing special. The microblogging service plurk.com work this way. Very cool.
There is a project at MIT called SIMILE TIMELINE (http://simile.mit.edu/timeline/) implemented in javascript with a lots of possibilities of customization. Work similar like Google Maps.

2. Voting for item in the group
Well, because groups are very topic homogenic (ex. twitter group will talk about twitter, not about chocolate, etc.), i think that it will be interesting to provide some sort of digg-like voting for the posts, so the posts maybe became popular. Yes, it is similar to deja-implemented Favorites, but it promotes posts to the first page of the group. Similar service is at dwigger.com

3. Threaded comments
I know it is not in Twitter style, but... in Jaiku`s :-). Reply to post not to user and than put the comment bellow that post in a threaded fashion.

1. I personally don't use that kind of timelines for a microblogging service. I know Plurk, but I *really* hate his timeline. However, can be an optional feature for a future, but not with high priority, don't you?

2. Actually working on v3 and it will have a (testing) karma system with votes. At the moment we have groups (I think with v3 will come), we can make a "ranking" that provides useful notes/status.

3. Sounds cool and you're not the first that say this, and talking about the code, isn't very difficult to do.

I think you can create a bug report now with this, and the people will vote for this idea. Probably some points will be included in v3, although others not (well, the rest of the people will decide!).
