Use site name as Twitter uploader

Asked by rudolfpietersma

Is it possible to use my site's name instead?

Now when you check Twitter: "4 minutes ago from web".
I would like to have: "4 minutes ago from TwitRP".

Rudolf.

When you post a note to Twitter, the NAME param in the config.php file is sent as the source of the note.

If you don't contact Twitter to allow that application, it won't be shown in Twitter.

You have to access the admin panel and then you can modify it.

Just update to the latest revision and you'll see an Administration link at the top of the page.

Marcos,
At http://twitter.com/oauth_clients I added "TwitRP" as new application. I also added this name in Jisko, but still when I post messages it sais: "from web" instead of from "TwitRP"

Shouldn't I add the Consumer key and Consumer secret somewhere?

That's because you didn't register your API Name at the Twitter page.

Hi!

I've checked twitter's developers site and they are removing the Basic Auth (the authentification method which uses Jisko), and they are moving to OAuth.

Because they are trying to remove Basic Auth, they are no longer accepting new entries for this method.

I think we have to move to OAuth in order to fix this problem.

Thanks for reporting and apologies...
