This solution doesn't work. The link that Jeff Treviño posted doesn't even lead to a site. Plus, I want a solution in this, it's also my problem.

A broken link in a comment to a question certainly doesn't qualify as bug in Inkscape. Converting the bug report into a question, as problems with installing X11 on OS X Tiger is a support question and not related to Inkscape itself.

The installation package for X11 on OS X Tiger is on your original installation disc that came with your computer.

steps to install X11 on OS X Tiger:
1) grab your original Tiger installation disc
2) insert the disc and locate the 'Optional Installs' package
3) double-click it
4) follow the installation steps until you get to 'Installation Type'
5) now expand the 'Applications' subsection in the tree by clicking on the triangle next to it, and check the application 'X11'
6) click on the 'Update' button to continue, and finish the installation.

After this you have the original X11 v1.0.0 installed. You need to update it using the 'Software Update...' function:

7) select 'Software update' from the Apple menu and update X11
8) verify that the updated version is X11 v1.1.3 (start X11, use menu bar 'X11 > About X11' to display the version information of the installed X11 application)

Now you are set up to use Inkscape 0.46 for OS X Tiger.

(Note: you can see an illustrated version of above steps on this older GIMP website: <http://darwingimp.sourceforge.net/guides/install_tiger/>)

…and in case you can't find your OS X Tiger installation disc: browse to <http://inkscape.modevia.com/macosx-snap/?C=N;O=D> and download a copy of "X11User_Tiger" (please choose the one according to your system architecture: Intel or PPC). After installing that version of X11 you still need to use the 'Software Update' function to update to the most recent version provided by Apple for OS X Tiger.
