Drawing scale

Asked by wribeiro

Hi,

It is not a question, but just a single suggestion for some future version of InkScape.
It would be very very usefull an option of drawing scale, like Corel Draw and others vector softwares.
Something like this:
File->Drawing properties...
Page->General
Unit (select one): (cm, ft, m, px, etc)
Drawing scale (select one): 1:1 (default); 1:10; 1:25, 1:50, 1:100, Custom
Once scale is selected, scale bar and coords are shown in world scale, but drawing size is reduced, acording scale factor.

Thank you.

Hello all;

A 101 question at that...

1. Page size: A4 (210x297 mm)
2. HOWEVER, page dimensions in px read: (744.09x1052.36)
3. Inkscape prefs >> import/export >> default resolution - 313dpi

Where do I fix this?
if I do the math... 313dpi >> 12.52 dots per mm >>2629 width ; 3718 height

Thanks!
