Is there updated information on how to change the theme in Inkscape latest version?

No (well, depends on from when your last info is, of course... - but not from within the last couple of years).

According to the member above, there is no way to presently change the theme in Inkscape; at least that is what I understand from his brief remarks.

The preview video was interesting though; something to look forward to.

I found 7 themes @ Inkscape/contents/Resources/Share/themes

Adwaita
Clearbooks
High Contrast
Industrial
Raleigh
Redmond
Thince

 It seems to me that if these themes are in the Inkspace directory, that there must be some mechanism to access these themes. (???)

Mmmh, don't know and cannot test. Maybe there's an XQuartz or Gtk option somewhere... If you've got something like the files and directories here on your computer, you could try playing with it, but that's for Windows. Else just wait for the next version.
