Not all lines display in Internet Explorer

Asked by Chris Edmondson

I'm a new Inkscape user.

I created a new graphic and saved it as an SVG file, but when I open the SVG with Internet Explorer (IE), not all lines or text is displaying. In Inkscape, the graphic displays as expected. Somehow I turned off some portions of my graphic from being visible in IE without realizing it.

- How do I get my complete graphic to display again in IE?
- What action did I mistakenly perform that caused this display issue to begin with?

Hello!
do you use Adobe SVG Viewer?
do you try open it in browser that natively support SVG? e.g. Opera, Firefox?

Yes, I do use Adobe SVG Viewer. No, I did not open it in any other viewer.

However, it turned out that if I ungrouped the items (one or two levels) that did not display, then these items did display in Internet Explorer. Yet I am curious why this was the case.

As a new use to graphic tools like Inkscape, it's going to be an interesting experience discovering the nuances of the tool.

Chris

Please try Firefox or some other viewer out and blame Adobe SVG viewer.
Also, please mark this question as answered, if this is the case.

Ungrouping solved my original display issue within Internet Explorer.
