how do I clean up and digitize a lettering sketch? remove wobbly lines etc

I need to digitize my design sketch for an engraved bracelet (flat metal plate) . My ink drawing must be converted to a perfected digital clean image. How do I do it??? Thank you!!!

You can import a scan (bitmap) and auto-trace it. If the results are wonky, it can sometimes be faster to trace by hand with the bezier pen.

After the trace is satisfactory, you can delete or hide the imported scan.

Thanks so much! Just a few more questions, is there a specific tool for auto trace? And I wonder if there is any sort of automatic feature for even color black fill ins in the letters. I guess there is no magic wand type feature for general fix and clear? Thanks so much for your help, this is my first try with digital software!
