What kind of image do you want to use, or what is your goal? The example linked has many images: products diagrams, logos, etc.

More details may be helpful.

For editing raster graphics (like jpg, png, bmp, gif,...), it's recommended to use a suitable editor.

Inkscape is an editor for vector graphics (.svg, .ai, .pdf, .dxf, ...), and while you can do a lot with it, this kind of thing can be more easily and better be done with a raster graphics editor.

The free and open source raster graphics editor Gimp can be found at https://gimp.org
