How do I reset Inkscape to it's default settings ?

You need to delete your Inkscape preferences file (preferences.xml). If you're using Windows XP, see my instructions here: https://answers.launchpad.net/inkscape/+question/36213 . If you're using Linux, I think preferences.xml will be be in ~/.inkscape

Hey I know this post is quite old but it pointed me in the right direction. For those trying to find this file in vista and windows 7 it is located here: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\inkscape.

I would like to know how to get to the default settings for the color bar at the bottom of inkscape page. I found it once and it worked but it didn't save it and now I can't find it.
