how do i get latex window on inkscape

I downloaded inkscape to my windows 10 PC (64 bit) . Unfortunately there i no latex box under "render" in the "extensions" tab. I have the same problem on my macbook air. what do i need to do to get the latex capability? Thank you.

Hi Bob,

please look into the extensions error log in your Inkscape config directory (see Edit -> Preferences -> System: User config) to find out which dependencies are missing.

After this, you will need to install them for your system, in a way that the Inkscape program will find them. On Windows, Inkscape comes with its own python, as far as I know, so you will need to put the modules where the Inkscape python lives, and not install them onto your system (disclaimer: I've never used Inkscape on Windows or on a Mac).

Not sure if this info will help you, but that's all I know.

indeed missing a number of files. I will try to make the corrections you
