Already exists (check the prefs for the text tool in Inkscape 0.91).
.
(as do several reports about this and related issues).

Note: in some situations, the warning dialog may show false positives, as tracked in bug #1181623.

Apart from the dialog which is not enabled with default settings, the font selector on the controls bar of the text tool also (and always) shows a warning sign if the font of the currently selected text (or tspan) is not found among the installed fonts (icon to the right of the font name). And the list of fonts used in the current document which is displayed on the font selector drop-down menu of the text tool, as well as in the font list of the 'Text and Font' dialog, also (and always) displays this information (fonts not found among the installed ones are crossed out).
