file cutting in segments

I am unable to send my completed file to Cricut to print as the cut path does not save as it shows in the design area. Am I able to 'weld' the design in Inkscape so the elements don't separate?

I think what you search for is the union function (select all paths, then do "Path" -> "Union").
Please note that all drawings you want to combine have to be paths or be combined into paths first.

sorry, i meant converted into paths not "combined into paths".
