Offset in star shape

I learn on shape tutorial that Ctrl+J activate offset to stars. What is the shortcut to deactivate it?

So if you convert a star to a *dynamic offset*, you will then be able to edit the offset distance, but no longer the star (which is kind of 'lost forever' - its path is still stored, but you will not be able to edit it directly again - and you have lost the ability to modify the star's properties, like number of spikes, or rounding of spikes).

If you want to edit the new shape you got by changing the offset, you have to do another conversion - convert it back to a path. Then you can edit the nodes / path segments of the (offset) shape again.

A *linked offset* gives you the opportunity to do both - change the offset distance and still modify (and keep) the original object.
I find those to be more fun :)
