Wrong Printing menu

Hi pepe,

please look through the bug reports to see if one of those reflects your problem. If there isn't one, please make one, and also give information about your operating system (version?) and the Inkscape file you installed from (msi? exe? 64bit? 32bit?...).

Maybe it is this one: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/178232 ?

As a workaround, export to png or save as pdf and print from another program.

Ok. Well.
My problem is so basic.... When I try printing the "print " menu let me
only choose the printer device, no preview, no margins, no page size, no
addittional features, no nothing. My only validoption is to export into a
PDF file and print from Adobe reader ( so sad....)

All the others program features ( by the moment ) are allright. I have
installed the 64bit version, and my OS is

I'm happy that at least the workaround works for you (it might be that some filters don't come out well in the pdf, in that case, you will have to resort to png export).

The pictures you attached are not shown here in the answers section, unfortunately. Could you add them to the bug report linked in my first answer, or open a new bug report?

The problem might be related to your printer driver which doesn't seem to work well with the part in Inkscape which supplies the printer dialog, so it would also be helpful if you could add your printer model and driver version.

I've got two different printer devices : Ricoh Aficio MP 161 PCL (
Monochrome) and brother laser HL3040CN color printer. Booth are via network
connected .Choose whatever I choose, the menu is the same, and dont looks
like It might be.

I'm sorry that I do not know of a way to immediately help you solve the problem, but we can try to collect information, so that it can be fixed in another Inkscape version.

I'm trying to add the screenshots, but I dont know how exactly. The
copy/paste fails...
