copy/paste behaviour of vectors changed, unwanted bitmaps instead of vectors

There must be a shortcut key to change this behaviour
but there are only workaround solutions for MacOS X11.
Strangely it used to work flawlessly (Win7, Inkscape 0.48). - till today
Which option is there to be active copy/paste vectors between several inkscape instances?

Also the Crtl+Shift+V shortcut for copy/pasting the style is broken now

I don't know why, the problem solved itself... now the copying of vectors between instances works again... (I only did some copying within one instance, and some style-pasting hmm)

Sorry - I misread the question, please disregard my first comment.

There is a bug report about this occasionally happening on Windows too, but the actual cause is not known:
