use of inkscape to produce graphics for use in HD video
I have produced a logo using Inkscape.
This logo is for use on the Web and for the opening titles and final credits in HD (1920x1080) video productions.
I use Sony Vegas Pro to produce the videos and this prefers graphics to be .png files. I have therefore exported the .svg graphics as bitmaps.
When imported into the Vegas project the graphic images look good in the video preview. When rendered they look awful. What were continuous smooth lines become broken jagged lines and text has no anti-aliasing. I have tried a number of different page sizes during production of the .svg and a number of different pixel sizes when exporting the bitmap. all to no avail.
The quality of the rendered image is bad regardless of whether I render to NTSC or PAl or for Bluray .
Am I asking Inkscape to do something that it cannot do? If not what should I do regarding page sizes when producing the .svg and similarly what criteria should I use for exporting the bitmap?
Is there an issue between square and rectangular pixels/ What does Inkscape use? Can the pixel shape be changed?
