Inkscape

How will I know what version of inkscape I am using at present. I downloaded the software last month .

I am new with Inkscape, in fact I just downloaded the software last month. I have studying how to use the program, and have been getting info from the web, but I kept on encountering tutorials for 0.46, 0.47 and 0.48. What I would like to find out is what version of inkscape I have downloaded and installed, so I can target on the specific tutorials in the web.
