Hello,

Could you give some precisions on your OS and Inkscape version?
What kind of box do you see? I currently use Inkscape on Ubuntu and Windows XP, and never noticed any box (apart from the Inkscape window, of course).

Regards.

Page borders?

Hi Grant

If it is the page borders that are bothering you, you can disable those in document properties.

Go to File -> Document Properties (shift-ctrl-D)

Just untick "Show page border"

If you never want the page border to show when you start Inkscape, you can update your default SVG file. It contains all the starting settings for a new file. See http://kattekrab.net/inkscape-change-default-document-properties for how to do that.

Apparently the issue was solved, even though the question was set back to status 'Open'.

Please either use the link in this message to _close_ the question as solved (or do it on the web page of your question), or ignore this message (which will cause the question to get listed as 'Answered', so that it doesn't get revisited repeatedly (because of the status 'Open') by those trying to help).
